Designed to be an experimental feature, its purpose was to perform varied tasks autonomously on the internet.<\/p>\n<p>However, those who would visit the Project Mariner landing page today will find a somewhat somber and reflective message that reads, &#8220;Thank you for using Project Mariner. It was shut down on May 4th, 2026, and its technology voyaged to other Google products.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This end might seem abrupt for something that was so boldly introduced to the world just two years prior.
